NAMI SWI Spotlight Volunteer

Our affiliate is proud to announce that Shirlee Byrd is the NAMI SWI spotlight volunteer for October!! Shirlee has been a member of NAMI SWI since 2006. Her efforts have increased the number of individuals and family members served by NAMI SWI programming. Shirlee has been active with NAMI SWI family member support groups and Connection and Recovery support meetings for many years. In 2013, Shirlee volunteered to serve as NAMI SWI Connection and Recovery Support Group Coordinator. She coordinates our affiliate’s participation with the monthly NAMI National Connection conference calls while also updating all NAMI SWI Connection facilitators of upcoming meetings, administrative updates, and much more.

NAMI SWI Spotlight Volunteer

Our affiliate is proud to announce that Mary Ann Miller and Beverly Churchill are the NAMI SWI spotlight volunteers for December!! Mary Ann and Beverly have been instrumental in helping our affiliate grow into the organization we all know today, by providing leadership and enthusiasm for NAMI’s mission of education, support, and advocacy for persons affected by brain disorders and their families. Mary Ann Miller has been a NAMI SWI member since 2002. Beverly Churchill has been a member since 2011. Mary Ann has taught numerous NAMI Basics classes and presented on behalf of NAMI SWI at area hospitals, schools, and various community organizations as well as the annual Piecing It All Together (PIAT) Conference.

NAMI SWI Spotlight Volunteer

Our affiliate is proud to announce that Jen Gerlach is the NAMI SWI spotlight volunteer for February!! Jen has been a member of NAMI SWI since 2007. Her efforts have increased the number of individuals and family members served by NAMI SWI programming. Jen has been active with the NAMI SWI In Our Own Voice Advocacy Program and Connection and Recovery support meetings for many years. Jen facilitates Connection meetings in St. Clair and Madison counties. In 2013, Jen volunteered to help launch the NAMI SWI Parents and Teachers as Allies Program. She is a key member of the PTAA presentation team.
