“Lift Up the NAMI Llama”
NAMI SWI ‘s goal for 2021 is to expand our free services to provide additional support groups and education for anyone who may feel in distress or alone.
This year has really brought home the impact of isolation. For some of us this is new, but many people with mental illness have known the pain of social isolation for a majority of their lives. We need your help to change that. NAMI Southwestern Illinois (NAMI SWI) provides access to resources, education classes and support groups for individuals with a mental illness and for family members and other caregivers. NAMI SWI has adopted LLAMA as our mascot, to let people know no one has to carry the burden of mental illness alone.
The demand for emotional support is incredible right now. This year, suicide hotline calls have increased 800% around the country. At times every detail of every day becomes more challenging. Your support will help keep people experiencing mental illness from having to go through it alone. Whether you are looking for a solution or just someone who understands, NAMI is here to help. Would you make a donation and help us to spread the word?
Please note if you donate $25.00 or more, we will send you a customized NAMI Llama face mask created by our NAMI SWI graphic artist to recognize your generosity.
